It's Haruno Sakura's fourth reincarnation, and her second time as a skin-changing creature of flame and destruction.

The name marring her skin brings both hope and despair in equal measures, because her name in that world is rarely spoken amongst those who remember it. The name hammered into her soul is as good as a curse. One which doesn't promise a happy story, or a happy ending in the slightest. Still, it doesn't stop her from longing for that elusive feeling which has escaped her in all three of her previous lives.

Because there's someone out there who's meant to love her, and Sakura knows he'll either do just that - or he'll shatter her heart beyond repair.

WARNING: Contains themes of suicide and depression.

PAIRINGS: Sakura/Glorfindel

"Sometimes, the loudest love is the one that never had to ask to be heard." At the edge of the quiet Nara forest, where the wind carries both secrets and the scent of wildflowers, Sakura Haruno has built a modest life filled with orphaned children, gentle animals, and healing hands. Revered for her strength and grace but untouched by love, she has long believed her heart to be meant only for service, not surrender. Shikamaru Nara, the elusive genius with clouds in his gaze and burdens in his mind, lives a life governed by logic, strategy, and an eternal pursuit of peace-until her soft laughter begins to echo through his days, stirring questions he can't outthink. Their lives begin to intertwine through quiet visits, reluctant friendship, and a growing tension that neither one of them names-until fate, family, and a series of clumsy near-confessions force their hearts into a dance they can no longer avoid. In a world healing from war, they will discover that love isn't always loud-it is often found in the hush between conversations, the stillness after laughter, and the soft footfalls of someone choosing to stay. A heartwarming, steamy, and laugh-out-loud journey of two unlikely souls who stumble into love, domestic chaos, and forever-one quiet moment at a time. Between Silence and Soft Footfalls is a tender tale of family, devotion, and the slowest, sweetest burn of all. Naruto © Masashi Kishimoto

Sakura was tired. So very tired. And it's not even the type of tired you feel after a sleepless night. Or the type you feel after exercising. It's a deep rooted tired, that you feel in the very depths of your soul. That makes the seconds feel like minutes, the minutes feel like hours, the hours feel like days, and days feel like months. It's a type of tired that makes you wonder why you're still here. And the reason for this tiredness, is that Sakura simply cannot die. Well, she can die, but when she does, her life simply starts over. In her first life, she was a hopeless romantic, fallen head over heels for a certain Uchiha. In her second life, she was a confused scholar, searching for the reason of her rebirth. In her third life, she was a careless daredevil, showing no regard for her life. In her fourth life, she was moody, getting sick of this game. In her fifth life, she gave up hope, knowing that the process would always repeat itself. In her sixth life, she took a blade to herself, hoping to move on. She didn't. In her seventh life, she was a killer, a merciless assassin. In her eighth life, she was a traveler, searching the world for an answer. In her ninth life, she became a leader, her name known far and wide. In her tenth life, she was a civilian, a small, little nobody. Now her thirty third life has come to an end (she was a genius musician in this one), and something goes wrong in the rebirth process. To put it simply, the gods screwed up. They were careless with an especially important soul-an immortal soul. A soul that belonged to a person rebirthed so many times that her soul carried so much wisdom and knowledge that it needed special handling. In the end, they accidentally put her soul into another body. A body that was already occupied. A body belonging to none other than Madara Uchiha. *#1 in the madasaku tag, March 19, 2019!* *#2 in the narutofanfiction tag, May 23, 2019*
