It's Haruno Sakura's fourth reincarnation, and her second time as a skin-changing creature of flame and destruction.

The name marring her skin brings both hope and despair in equal measures, because her name in that world is rarely spoken amongst those who remember it. The name hammered into her soul is as good as a curse. One which doesn't promise a happy story, or a happy ending in the slightest. Still, it doesn't stop her from longing for that elusive feeling which has escaped her in all three of her previous lives.

Because there's someone out there who's meant to love her, and Sakura knows he'll either do just that - or he'll shatter her heart beyond repair.

WARNING: Contains themes of suicide and depression.

PAIRINGS: Sakura/Glorfindel

Sakura was tired. So very tired. And it's not even the type of tired you feel after a sleepless night. Or the type you feel after exercising. It's a deep rooted tired, that you feel in the very depths of your soul. That makes the seconds feel like minutes, the minutes feel like hours, the hours feel like days, and days feel like months. It's a type of tired that makes you wonder why you're still here. And the reason for this tiredness, is that Sakura simply cannot die. Well, she can die, but when she does, her life simply starts over. In her first life, she was a hopeless romantic, fallen head over heels for a certain Uchiha. In her second life, she was a confused scholar, searching for the reason of her rebirth. In her third life, she was a careless daredevil, showing no regard for her life. In her fourth life, she was moody, getting sick of this game. In her fifth life, she gave up hope, knowing that the process would always repeat itself. In her sixth life, she took a blade to herself, hoping to move on. She didn't. In her seventh life, she was a killer, a merciless assassin. In her eighth life, she was a traveler, searching the world for an answer. In her ninth life, she became a leader, her name known far and wide. In her tenth life, she was a civilian, a small, little nobody. Now her thirty third life has come to an end (she was a genius musician in this one), and something goes wrong in the rebirth process. To put it simply, the gods screwed up. They were careless with an especially important soul-an immortal soul. A soul that belonged to a person rebirthed so many times that her soul carried so much wisdom and knowledge that it needed special handling. In the end, they accidentally put her soul into another body. A body that was already occupied. A body belonging to none other than Madara Uchiha. *#1 in the madasaku tag, March 19, 2019!* *#2 in the narutofanfiction tag, May 23, 2019*
The Heart's Unexpected Twist by shruti_stories
44 parts Complete Mature
In the dimly lit corners of a city, there are two souls, each bearing the weight of their own broken pasts, find solace in an unexpected connection. Sahil is a figure of quiet intensity, his dark, unruly hair and deep, brooding eyes hinting at the trauma that shadows his every step. Sahil's emotional scars run deep. His nights are plagued by relentless nightmares, leaving him distant and withdrawn. Despite his kindness and the longing for understanding, Sahil finds his solace alone comfortable, and at times, he shares fragments of his troubled past with those he trusts, though trust comes reluctantly. Shruti, with her gentle beauty and warm, expressive eyes, presents a quiet resilience beneath her composed exterior. Her soft black hair is often pulled back, and she favours practical, simple clothing, reflecting her desire for authenticity in a world that often judges harshly. Shruti's life has been marred by a traumatic past-an incident that left her vulnerable, leaving her tangled in a web of insecurities. Despite her hurt and the masks she wears to hide her true self, Shruti yearns for someone who will see her for who she truly is, and her heart, once open and hopeful, now guards a profound sadness. As Sahil and Shruti connect through the digital veil, their shared experiences of pain and struggle draw them closer. Sahil finds in Shruti a rare understanding, a mirror reflecting his own internal battles. For Shruti, Sahil represents a chance to be seen beyond her insecurities, though she remains haunted by her past traumas. Their connection is both a refuge and a challenge, with the potential to heal or to further unravel their fragile hearts. As they explore the depths of each other's pain and longing, the question remains: Can they find healing together, or will their pasts forever trap them in their own shadows? Sakura died. Naruto had a sworn duty to the village as Hokage and it was hers to protect her comrades, even if it meant she had to sacrifice her own life. Her days as a mother and wife were worth leaving behind if it meant they could live in a world without loss and suffering. But under some universal joke, Sakura for some reason traveled to a time before her friends, family, and even her nation were born. She discovers parts of her past that were once thought to be sealed by fate and history, becoming a part of a lineage that explained more about her abilities than she could ever imagine. Whilst finding that her heart is torn between that of a husband who mourns her death and his previous reincarnation.
