A Chance in Love

Caroline Renault was married to the man whom she loved since the first time she laid her eyes on him.

Unfortunately, the man who was now her husband never saw her as his wife but like a kept woman.

Her presence disgusted him.

Though they were already married, Jacob had another lover in the name of Grace who was Caroline's cousin.

On the day of their third wedding anniversary, she gave him the divorce papers to sign but the man refused to sign them.

"What more do you want Jacob?" Caroline asked as she could not believe what he just did. He shed the divorce papers in pieces in front of her.

As he heard her question, Jacon smirked and held Caroline's chin so that the latter would look at her in the eye.

"With your state right now, do you think I still want something from you?" A soft chuckle then escaped from his lips. He paused as he looked at the woman whom he disliked the most and continued, "Consider it as my grace to you. Do you think after I signed those papers that you gave me, you will have a good life?"

Caroline was struck dumbfounded by what she just heard. 'What do you mean?'

But before she could even voiced out her thoughts, the man turned around and left her still rooted in the ground.
