Wishtesters are the lowest of the low, the most pitiful beggars and crooks living on the fringes of society. And Faruq is itching to become one.

Asking a wish of the Djinn, powerful beings who can grant almost anything the heart desires, is a privilege normally reserved for the exceedingly wealthy. But wishtesters may petition the Djinn without spending a single coin.

The price for wishtesters is far greater than simple gold.

The Empty Ones (Fantasy Romance) by Jinx-01
15 parts Ongoing Mature
In the realm of Quomared, which occupies the biggest part of the continent, magic is a scarce and precious resource. Fewer and fewer humans are born magic bearers throughout the last decades. Zaretha is the only daughter of the Alsayid, religios leader and grand mage of the country, the most powerful still-living sorcerer on the continent in service of the emperor. She is, however, born empty, magicless, to everyone's disappointment. An attempt at a coup d'etate takes place after her twelfth birthday, and her father is assassinated under mysterious circumstances. An orphan now, she is brought to live in The Priory of the White Stones, a home for girls from families that have or had magic-bearing members. They are schooled to be concubines or wives that a noble family can acquire for their heir, because even if magic-less, they still carry the gene and have a fifty percent chance to bear a magic-yielding child. __________________ Mentions: Please don't copy and all that. It makes no sense, just write your own story :). My stories are for mature audience. There will be violence, gore, explicit sex and other stuff not meant for kids. Proceed at your own risk. I will point out the more intense ones but questionable stuff might be all over so if you are sensitive DO NOT read. English is not my first language, feel free to point out the spelling errors, I always appreciate that. I am generally always really happy about Feedback. :)
The princess, the commoner and the sorcerer by Samfeathers
26 parts Complete
Long ago, in the ancient kingdom of Surasena, lived two. A young princess by the name of Ananya, and a commoner whom was called Imaran. There lived also an evil sorcerer by the name of Balveer, an advisor to the Sultan. This is their story, a classic retelling of the fairy tale Aladdin. Jinn is the more proper term for genie. It can also be spelled djinn which is the Romanized version. I chose to go with the more traditional version. Cover by my dear friend who did it for me. Their art skills are absolutely impeccable! A message to all my readers: This story has many characters that are ignorant, bigoted and downright cruel to our main character. I wanted to have everyone understand that these actions are extreme examples of homophobia, and that, generally, it is far more subtle. For those that are closeted and are afraid to come out, I am here for you and I am sorry you live in an environment where you can't safely be yourself. Know that my heart is with you. If you need someone to talk to, here is a number to consider: 1-866-488-7386. This is the number for The Trevor Project, a group dedicated to helping young LGBTQ+ people. If there are people in your life who support you and you can trust, seek help. For my straight cisgender folk, please be an ally to your LGBTQ+ friends and family. Their love and gender is as valid as anyone else. In their time of need, be there for them and support them. Please enjoy my story and have a wonderful life.

Loretta of the Lamp

49 parts Complete

Loretta bit her lip and took a deep breath before she peered into the keyhole and slid the pick into the narrow opening. "You will open for me," she murmured. Loretta knows how to pick a lock faster than you can say "juvenile delinquent". But the sixteen year old's world spirals out of control fast after she breaks into an annex of the British Museum, accidentally unleashes an arrogant, immortal genie, and winds up trapped with him inside the lamp. Finalist in the 2016 Global Launchpad Manuscript Competition with the same concept, I've released the full, re-edited version of the novel here 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 This book is completed (yay!) But, it's not over, you can continue with the next leg of Loretta's journey in book two; The Fallout (also on Wattpad)
