One evil sister and one heartless mother. Sound somewhat familiar? Well, meet Chloe Pickett, our sort-of Cinderella. She's an ordinary girl with stellar grades and a love for John Green books. Chloe's used to being forgotten; with a sister who rules the school, it's practically impossible not to be. Having a sister who has everything she doesn't (popularity, tons of friends, looks of a goddess) makes it hard for her to stay positive. Her own mother treats her like a slave, causing Chloe to live in a world of torment and endless hurt.
With a heart of gold and fierce determination (as well as devilishly handsome looks), Tyler Adams is our maybe Prince Charming. Most would look at him and assume he's the typical bad boy. Well, they couldn't be more wrong. He doesn't do drugs or drive a badass motorcycle. He doesn't party or have slutty one night stands. He's just Tyler, and he's got a soft spot in him, which is why he immediately takes an interest in the broken girl. Will he be the one to end her pain? Will she be willing to give her heart away again?
With evil sisters, crazy ex-boyfriends, and selfish mothers trying to stand in their way, it seems impossible the two will ever make it through. However, Chloe's not some damsel in distress. She's got some determination of her own that is waiting to be released. So when her world begins to spin out of control - Prince Charming or not - she is ready to take control of her life.
