Sam threw a punch into the gut of one guard, then pulled his body in front of hers to avoid an attack from another. She thrust his body aside, with drew one of her daggers, and deflected the swipe of a sword, her cloak fluttered softly with every twist and turn yet still hid her face . She slammed the final guard down, on his way down he grasped the hood of her cloak and pulled it down. Wild midnight hair whipped in the breeze as golden eyes stare straight ahead towards the gapping guard. "Shade?" Drake whispered in disbelief, his mouth hung open and his eyes doubled in size. Sam simply smirked, "Why hello." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A wide swept plague desolated cities and towns, revealing a new era for the supernatural and supposed extinction for the humans. Four infamous supernatural species decided to split the land, the sorcerers in the north with jungle ridden cities, the shifters to the east with forest covered small towns, the ones with power over the elements were to the west with small towns covered in plains and trees, and the rogues who had no kingdom were to the south in the desert layered land. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The McKaine's are a wide known family of sorcerers with one daughter and another on the way. Their second daughter, Shade Anastasia McKaine, is the black sheep of the family. With long midnight hair and liquid gold eyes, traits lost to all sorcerers, she is confined to life inside of the castle walls in her parents fear of her mistreatment. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When she was forced to run from her kingdom she returns years later with a deadly reputation and an equally dislike partner. Will her kingdom apologize, or will they be disgusted? Will the one that sealed off her feelings realize his mistake, or will she be stone cold?
