'Sometimes I wish I died that day. It would have spared me all this trauma.'

In which Calla Forte wishes she wouldn't have made it through her games. A girl who never forgets, faces her worst memories every day.

She can't sleep at night without seeing their faces staring back at her. She can't walk through the streets without hearing their screams. She can't be at home without hearing his laugh and seeing him smiling, his dimples showing.

The girl hasn't decided yet whether she should drown in sorrow or burn with rage. Though she does know that she is falling into pieces.

When Calla finds comfort in a girl having gone through similar tragic events, she feels like she finally stops breaking, before misfortune finds a way into her life once again.
