What do you do when you're a homeless kid on the streets of Gotham? Becoming a criminal is SO straight-forward, so how about something new? Dick Grayson and Wally West, or better known as Robin and Finch, are robbers with a seemingly random pattern and motive. But what happens when a Bat figures out it's not so random, and these teen-aged criminals are not as "bad" as they make themselves out to be? One Young Justice encounter later, and the pair fight for their lives; their lives as either criminals or what they can become.
I don't own DC or any references made in this. I don't own the beautiful story cover so full rights to whoever owns what. Also, Birdflash. Don't like, don't read. Jessica Terley and Dick Grayson were practically raised together in the circus. He blames her in part for his parents death since she could have saved them. She is shut out from his life and quickly found by joker who grooms her into his own side kick that doesn't see much of the limelight but often is a critical part in his Arkham breakouts. With her meta ability she is perfect to go spy on projects and get in and out of places quickly. Joker has a plan, corrupt Lex's Superboy project. What will happen I wonder? After the death of his parents, Dick Grayson is taken in by his Uncle and trained to be a Talon. He has been training and preparing for four years of his life, and he only needs to do one thing until he can officially become a Talon. He needs to kill someone.... But he can't. So, he runs away and seeks refugee in Gotham. While there he meets some interesting people. A man, who dresses as a bat and fights crime, and a team of teenagers who also fight crime on their spare time. What will happen when he meets the team and Batman? The team are tasked to protect Richard Grayson, essentially be his bodyguards; he has been getting attacked and been receiving a lot of threats from the League of Shadows, and Batman believes he needs to be protected by the team despite protest from Richard. Some Info: I'll be taking some creative liberties with this fan fic that are separate from what is cannon. In this plot, Richard will be aged 14-15 (around YJ S1 Age), no one in the team knows his secret ID, even KF. Aside from his normal character stats, I will dabble in adding both singing and/ musical instrument to Richard's abilities. There will be good old BirdFlash within this fic as well. Everyone has cracks, some are just better at hiding them then others. M'gann is lonely but the kindest. Aqualad had a very troubling past, but his smile is bright. Robin is the most damaged but also the wisest. Artemis is from a family of villains but has a big heart. Superboy is a confused anger ridden clone, he just wants a place to call his own. Whether he's the crime fighting Boy Wonder, or the ward to billionaire Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson AKA Robin is always falling into danger. Kidnapped, Captured, tortured, traded, sold, violated, and more. But what does it take for him to get out of these dangers? Does this thirteen year old boy from the circus have what it takes? Or will he remain in peril until the worst happens? No, I am not *clinically* insane, I just really enjoy a good suspenseful scene and figured someone else must feel the same way. (apparently it's called whump) I'll try to add new stories frequently, but I'm not really the most reliable person out there. But I'll do my best!
