Living in the grand city of Los Angeles gave Remington-Bria Cruz the false hope that she'd never have to cross paths with the extremely offensive, but unfairly gorgeous Auden Shaw again. He'd made her freshman year of high school a living hell. There was no doubt in her mind that he would have continued to torment her if her brother, Brutus, and Auden hadn't made up their minds to skip out on their senior year the instant they were free to do so. So while Fate had been kind enough to spare her for the remaining three years of high school, it called time just as she prepared for college. Down on her luck with an overprotective friend-turned-soul-sister hanging onto her for dear life, Remington has no choice but to rely on her older brother for help until she can get back on her feet. But her brother's help comes with a price of its own. Now she's living under the same roof as the rebellious bad boy she swore she'd never lay eyes on again. She's a dreamer trying to get the hang of making plans in a world that constantly tries to bring her down. He's a devil-may-care, take but never give sort of guy. Everything about him ticks her off, and he's made no secret about his dislike for her. But both are determined to prove each other wrong. When boundaries are drawn and rules are made, it's just a matter of time before one- or both- decide to cross the line.

"Do you ever get scared of being happy?" He asked softly, also pretty tired. I kept my eyes closed as I answered, my fingers softly drawing circles on his chest. "All the time. I used to a lot more, but, the downfalls seem a lot less daunting now that I have someone to free-fall with," I replied, and I looked up to see him smile a little at that, "We're just dancing in the rain these days.. there's no need to be afraid of the inevitable clouds that are gonna pop up." • • • College.
