Hallie's parents spent their life savings to build a candy store in New York. Hallie, loved to play around in the store until she suddenly broke something. When the candies started to move around by itself, they formed words to communicate with Hallie. They answered her questions and when the candies read that she was going out to dinner with her parents, she met a boy in the restaurant that couldn't keep her eyes off. She hoped to meet him again after that night... maybe 12 years later.
