The Shades of the Past (Short Story)

They say love will eventually come into our lives in the most unexpected ways. And all the years of building up a wall and barriers within ourselves will loosen up, the standards of an ideal boyfriend we set to our minds will instantly disappear as if it did not exist at all. And that saying was astonishingly true, whether we believe it or not. But sometimes we tend to deny that it is actually happening to us. Maybe, that's why God gave the heart to be able to love and not the mind for it is not judgemental. We cannot simply mandate our hearts to love what was the mind dictates. Or to choose who's pleasing in the eyes. And in the end, what our hearts most desire will win over minds.
