I was new to Pogosa Springs High School. As soon as I walked into the classroom I got a million stares, I was the center of attension. But, the only thing that caught my eye was the guy on the second row third down. As he smiled and looked at me I couldn't help but smile back. After Mrs.White's class I was gonna go try to talk to him. Until I saw him kiss the snotty girl who gave me a dirty look in the hallway Tuesday morning. What was her name again? Oh yeah, Kinsley was her name. In the hallway, I want up to Jacob I think that was his name, he didn't think much of me, I said "hey my name is hazel" he said "hi hazel I'm Jacob" and you don't even know how my heart pumped. I felt like my heart pumped out of my chest, and just flew right into his hands. My heart was set on him. And I couldn't believe it, third day at school and I was.. In love? At least I thought I was until Lizzy came. She made my day worse, she told me to "back off Jacob". And I was dumb enough to say "no".
