Charlotte Gallagher has one chance to prove that she's not just a girl who plays hockey. She's a girl who plays boys hockey in the one and only State of Hockey, Minnesota. Charlie has just made the Junior National Minnesota Hockey Team in the 2019 Junior National Hockey League Tournament. Fifty states recruit their twenty best hockey players, and the teams battle it out on the ice until one remains. With the added fact that the top three teams will go on the play in the 2020 World Tournament in Russia, the stakes are high. Charlie knows all eyes will be on her being the only girl in this tournament. Nothing will get in her way except, maybe, her feelings for one of her best friends, Reece O'Reilly. She knows this is a chance of a lifetime, and hopefully, she won't screw it up.
