Just a few lucky humans were chosen to migrate to Selino, land of six moons, when Earth was falling apart. Now Earth is long gone, and the only thing stopping the humans from taking full advantage of their new planet are Selino's five native species - angui, maxis, fabri, ranae, and caeli - and the hybrids, or hibri, formed among them. But new information has been discovered on the six mysterious, legendary objects known simply as 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘦𝘴, information that might finally provide the humans with a way to have real control over Selino. That is, if the planet's natives will let them get that far...

Eight residents of Selino - among them a spy, a traitor, a liar, a rebel, and a runaway - are determined to find the sources, though they all have their own motives - and secrets. With one another's help, they might actually achieve their goal... though once they do, it's impossible to predict who will get the sources first. And what they intend to do with them?

That's anyone's guess.

The final curse is completed and the binding spell destroyed? Or was it? Zhil's still body was abandoned after Sei was taken. Six months have passed and now in the clutches of Mysia, Sei is distraught after learning the truth. Spiraling from the shock but also trying to escape. Mysia is in full control and one step closer to achieving her goals. While the Immortals believe Sei is on her side and must also be destroyed. How will Sei escape? How will the Immortals stop Mysia? Will Zhil return as a ghost? Preview: "I know you don't want to do this." Odi's voice wavered. Sei paused and tilted his head while meeting Odi's eyes. It was true and Odi finally confirmed it for Sei. He didn't want to hurt those Immortals. The whole time he felt someone inside him screaming at him and telling him no. They prickled at the back of his mind each time his nail scratched a cheek or when his blade sunk into a body. The voice wanted him to stop. But at the same time, he felt his hunger for revenge became more placated, making him more unfeeling and unmoving in his resolve. "It's okay," Odi's words were full of sorrow. Sei placed a shaking hand on Odi's shoulder and prepared to make the final blow. As he brought back his hand Odi whispered, "Adasi will save you." For a brief moment like a butterfly's wing brushing against a flower's petal, Sei's eyes expressed shock and his hand clenched Odi's shoulder. For the first time, someone else's words had made him stop. But as quickly as it came Sei returned to his emotionless state. Only Odi saw this and only Odi would know that there was hope for the Sei to break from his nightmare.

Centuries ago, the world was as it is for you. Humans hunting, animals living, and evolution expanding. But, humans got greedy. They wanted too much, they used whatever they could find to get what they dreamed of- good or bad. They went to science, to alchemy, to the dead practices of their ancestors. And they paid the heavy price for trying to get more than they needed. Now, animals run free, humans live in hiding, cities and towns overgrown and used by any- just not humans. The world has been taken over by a different race, humans and their new "rulers" living separate, one fearing the other, 'the other' fearing 'one'. The rulers, the species that was created by humans, they were ones that never should have been possible. The Hybrids. ‼️IMPORTANT‼️vv There will ALWAYS be warnings at the beginning of a chapter, please inform me if I miss any important ones! ❖ Interstellar pilot and ex-adventurer Alex Gallegos must keep their team safe on an icy moon as sentient storms threaten to repeat the tragedy that ended their last career. ❖ Everyone in the United Inhabited Solar Systems (for some reason, UIS for short) knows to stay away from Mahaha. The icy moon is notorious for failed probe landings and research missions that end in tragedy: the only people to ever venture to its surface needed rescuing after just two weeks. When a prestigious research group decides they want a turn, they ask Alex Gallegos to lead the team. Perfectly qualified and haunted by their past, Alex accepts, hoping to make up for old mistakes and get just a little further from the earth they've left behind. Two months into the seven-month mission, the team is struggling with discontent, damaged equipment, and blizzards acting less and less like normal weather. As Mahaha moves out of range of help and the storms take on a more malicious character, Alex must face the one foe they could never have prepared for. Mahaha may or may not be alive. ❖❖❖ Complete. Wattys 2021 Shortlister. Standalone sequel (Rocks Can Dance) coming in 2023. Comments and critiques are both welcome and appreciated. I write characters from many different backgrounds, with many different experiences. If you share those traits and find that I have misrepresented anything, please let me know! Milo is a Kaw-Sekhmu who has been dormant for over 150 years, waking up to a world that has changed beyond recognition. When he awakens in a morgue, he realizes that he can no longer stomach blood and has nowhere to turn for support. Milo's decision to turn to the first person he finds for support backfires when he misunderstands the significance of tattoos and turns a vegan, dooming them both. But just when Milo thinks things can't get any worse, his past comes back to haunt him in the form of an Egyptian deity from long ago, powered by a mysterious sect of people wearing black hoods. As Milo struggles to understand their plans and what they mean for the world, he realizes that the stakes are higher than he could have ever imagined. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "For as long as he lived and the many troubles he had. Milo had never once considered suicide a viable option. However, as of late, the wicket idea would simply pass threw his thoughts. He had never been in so much pain. He had never felt so alone. But the better question was. Would it even be possible? If he had really thought about it. If it was something he really wanted. Was there a way to kill him? He thought not, but surely nothing can last forever, not even him." (Disclaimer, I'm not great at spelling or grammar. I cannot get a professional editor, But I did my best.)
