"I love you." He says, holding me against him. I can't meet his eyes, so I look down. Once again, the magic spell he casts on me is broken and I'm back to reality. I want him. Just him. But there I know there will always be her. My eyes begin to drown in tears. "Mollie," he says, releasing the grip around my waist, "aren't you going to say it back?" I take a deep breath and look at his face, "I can't love you Nathaniel, not like this." Mollie Hague is just a normal girl, trying her best to get through senior year at high school. When her childhood best friend Nathaniel Seames rises to fame, she doesn't want anything to do with him. But when she meets up with him years after last seeing him, he's different. Mollie gets all these strange emotions when she's around him. The more she attempts to suppress these feelings the stronger they grow. Mollie, a nobody, could never date someone as famous as Nathaniel, could she? And with Nathaniel's made-to-look-like girlfriend, pop singer Carla Wright, there is no way she could ever compete against the media. No way she could compete against the Love Illusion.

We admire our work with quiet smiles. I do a small chuckle and finally let all these sad moments become into memories that are worth remembering. Even if it means that those I loved so much might fade away; they will never be forgotten. I promise myself to do this... "Promise me that we will always remember and never forget," Nate quietly says. "What if we do?" I whisper. "What if we let the night become darker than the stars?" Nate turns, and takes small steps towards me. My heart is like a magnet bringing him closer as I turn towards him. He does that look I fell in love with the day we met. He's inches apart now and I'm left breathless. His whisper is as quiet as the moonlight shining through the windows of the class as he says, "Then I will find you to remind you of us. I'll remind you that stars shine brighter in the darkest nights..."
