The house at the end of Magpie Drive had been abandoned for as long as anyone could remember. It was an old two-story house that badly needed a paint job, but never needed repairs. The front porch was always in good condition, and the back stairs were stable. The house sat at the end of the last road in town, and all the surrounding houses had fallen down decades ago. Rumor had it that someone had lived and died in the house and their ghost was keeping up on the maintenance. Other rumors suggested that the house was under a powerful spell that kept it frozen in time and the next owner would either break the spell or the spell would break them. Or, the next owner would enter the house and never leave it. Some say that they hear whimpering and crying noises when they walk by the house at night. No one spoke from experience, only second-hand news.

Allie doesn't believe the car crash that caused her amnesia was an accident. Returning to a life she can't remember, she starts uncovering who she was before the crash, and the answers aren't comforting. Chased by nightmares that feel more like memories, and urged by a mysterious classmate eager to help her remember, Allie finds herself on a dangerous path once more.
