In the eyes of the favoured, people like me were disposable. I guess in some twisted way it made sense. After all, they were the ones who were born with powers, not us. Any task they could do in 10 minutes would take us hours, maybe even days. We are what are known as the ordinary. We are born, and we die, without powers. We live shorter and less fulfilled lives. We know our place and we never complain.
