Elena Gilbert is a recently college graduate. She has been living with her younger brother; Jeremy & their aunt Jenna Sommers-Saltzman & her husband; their history high school teacher Alaric Saltzman, in a small house in Mystic Falls, Virginia. She has two best friends; Caroline Forbes & Bonnie Bennett. Elena has been dating Damon Salvatore for three years. He works as a doctor in Mystic Falls General Hospital & has one younger brother Stefan Salvatore who was the football captain in her college team. Elena will soon start her work at the local newspaper in her town when some danger seems to approach in the peaceful Mystic Falls.
