"W-what are you doing?!" I shouted as the woman grew uncomfortably close, her clouded grey eyes boring into mine. "I'm just doing what the fortune cookie said. Who am I to stand in the way of fate?" she answered whilst bending down. "Isn't this unconventional? Especially in public?" I spat as I blushed, taking note of the ongoing masses of shoppers. This is the story of Louise and Laurie, their relationship, a spilled coffee and a nonexistent fortune cookie.

"Whoa, hottie," Peggy said like she was in a trance. I rolled my eyes and looked up. It had to be just another one of those- I stood there, stunned, just as starstruck as she was. "I would like to fully purchase these two books," she said, looking at us with those beautiful green eyes. Peggy was still starstruck, but I managed to snap out of my trance. "Yes, of course!" I said quickly, but a squeak escaped my mouth. Embarrassed, I quickly looked down, processing the books through the computer. Then I handed her a gift card (which I shouldn't have done) before sliding the books to her in a bag. "Thank you dearly. It was a pleasure to meet you both," she said with a wink before taking the bag and walking off in her heels. She looked magical.
