Misty is a witch. Along with her, are her sisters: Snow, Rayne, Storm, and Shine. And then there's their one and only brother: Blaze. Her sisters are witches and her brother is a warlock, the male version of a witch.

They may not have the most normal names, but it comes with being different. Their parents are forever lost in the Dark Well of Souls, and can not be brought back. They're on their own, and find most humans to be intolerant. But those are just a few perks.

Their mission, as part of being supernatural creatures, is to protect the future vampire prince: A 12 year old vampire boy named Damon.

Then they move to Dark Falls and everything changes. No one seems human. Everyone wears dark clothes. The sun never comes out from behind clouds; it's constantly raining and dark. And every building is huge and gothic. It's haunting. And it seems a little too perfect for Damon.

And to top it off, Misty finds herself attracted to a certain tall, dark, and mysterious boy.

But then they learn about the Jades and Darklings. This isn't your normal town. This is a town full of secrets that are never spoken aloud.
