When Agatha, a never five from Gavaldon, is chosen to compete in the selection she knows she doesn't want to be princess. She doesn't even want to try. And her best friend and ever Sophie? Well she is absolutely furious. It is her destiny after all to marry Prince Tedros and claim her happily ever after.
Prince Tedros was always sure that the selection was his chance at true love - until he found out his dad had people go through all the applicants to handpick them. Then he sees a strange never girl around the palace. He knows for sure there has been a mistake but his father refuses to let her go in favour of public interest.

you live in a little town called Gavaldon with your horrible parents. you are best friends with Agatha and Sophie two girls who are the complete opposite you was stuck in the middle you liked dressing up but only when it was necessary unlike Sophie who did every single day, and Agatha who never dressed up. one day you had an argument with your parents and came home to your stuff in the street so you went on a stroll carrying a suit case and you saw Agatha and Sophie arguing by a tree. you was trying to make sense of the situation until you and Sophie were grabbed and dragged to god knows were Sophie laughing and saying she's free and you screaming saying let go.
