This piece could not have been finished without my sister a.k.a. Editor, and my inspiration to be a better writer. All the research I did for this piece has made me a better writer and I learned alot from the inspirational rapper/actor/poet Tupac Amaru Shackur. I also learned a lot about myself that I thought I couldn't do.
There were some parts of the story I had to come up with on my own, since I couldn't find some information on Tupac's life at 17. I did find roughly enough information, to piece things together, and feel as accurate as possible.
For example, I couldn't find exactly who exactly Tupac was staying with in California, so I made up a fictional family Tupac and his family stayed with. All I found is that they were family friends. As well as some of the characters were made up, like Rosé, Willian, Daisy, J Dog, and Mrs. Johnson. Tupac's mother and sister, along with Lelia Steinberg were all actual and important people in Tupac's life. Also all of the places mentioned in the story are also real, and were important places to know during Tupac's life at 17.
These are some things that were fictional, as well as some things that were in fact non-fictional in my story.

I shake my head. "Evacuate. Make sure everyone gets out of here. No one dies today." "Well, someone should. And we both know who it needs to be." Aiden says before he leaves the room. I know Aiden is right, but I can't kill Felix, even if he keeps trying to kill me. I shake my head and sit back down. Just because everyone else was leaving didn't mean I had to also. Maybe I can talk some sense into him. I sigh. I've tried to already, but maybe this time it will be different. Maybe I should tell him the truth. Maybe I should tell him Nadia is his daughter. The door to my planning room is thrown open but I stay seated. I look up as men flood into the room, soon followed by Felix. His emotionless eyes find mine and he cocks his gun. The packed lunches stopped coming when he turned ten. Eleven, the birthday parties ceased. At fourteen, his younger brother was 'too old' to have to share his room, so A.J. was moved to the small laundry room. At sixteen, there were no more 'I love you' or 'have a good day'. At seventeen, the lunch money stopped and the hateful glares started. Then the angry words. Everything he did was wrong. The dishes weren't clean. The laundry wasn't folded right. By the time he finally graduated, a few days after his nineteenth birthday, there was no more attention of any sort. They ignored him, except to tell him that his chores weren't done well enough and that he didn't deserve to eat until they were. A.J., desperate for some sort of attention, and honestly starving, tried one last thing to get them to at least show so semblance of caring, even if it was negative. He told them that he was gay. An Unexpected Moment
... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. Leena Nur was wrapping up her senior year at Leading Senior High this summer and with that, her domestic duties were also coming to their end. High school was nothing to miss for Leena. Everyone knows about the world famous, Tupac Shakur. Everyone cried when they found out he had died on September 13, 1996. His words spoke truth, as this still do to this day. Listen to his songs and you can find links to how the world is now, as it had been over twenty years ago. He wanted to be heard, and he knew his words were the voice of the voiceless. Not many people knew about his home life though. Of course, you don't know that this refers to his adopted daughter, Félicité Shakur. Of course, she was kept out of the media as much as possible. He didn't want her growing up in the media, but after his death, at the simple age of eight, she's thrown into the media. Now, twenty years later, she's twenty eight years old, and living her dream. She's a singer herself, walking in her father's footsteps. She's praised for everything she's achieved, even if it wasn't easy for everyone. Some loved her because she was Tupac's daughter, others loved her just for her music and talent alone. She didn't have many friends, since she had was scared to lose anyone else. After losing her father, she never felt the same. She was scared, but most people would understand that. She did have one friend though, a best friend per say, DeShaun Holton, better known as Big Proof. He and her were best friends. They had known each other for over ten years. One night she decides she'd finally got to one of Proof's shows, or rather, D12's shows. She watched from the audience, safe from fans of course, before being brought back stage. She meets Marshall Mathers, better known as Slim Shady or Eminem. She's skeptical to meet him, as he is her. He's surprised his best friend had kept this girl a secret from him for so long. He knew who she was though. He had seen her on the media, but hadn't been able to listen to her music yet. What happens when he finds out more about her? Listens to her music?
