A Little Bit of Bad Luck
In this AU, Félix and Marinette's characters are based on the ones from the Miraculous anime PV that was never made (extra explanation of MCs in prologue). Additionally, there is a focus of side characters such as Gabriel, Nathalie, and Chloé (all these characters are based on the canon cartoon). This story takes place in the world of the cartoon but I have added some elements of the anime and my own spin on things. It's mostly plot and romance with occasional action. Excerpt below. **************** "Even if we experience a thousand different futures, I'd still probably fall in love with you, over and over again," he whispered, taking his last breath. His head felt heavy in her hands. Marinette inhaled sharply, feeling the pain in her chest. This can't be real. It can't. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Marinette stood away from the others on the hillside outside, staring at the crumbling building from afar. The air was thick with smoke and the atmosphere glowed orange. "You can't leave, Félix. I can't do this without you," she whispered as tears welled in her eyes. Alya and Nino hadn't come out of the building yet, and Marinette feared the worst. Tears began to spill out, streaming down her face. "I need to take your memories, Marinette," Time Capsule said. "Let's make sure none of the other versions of ourselves have to live through this future." Marinette nodded and let her extract her memories. Marinette Dupain-Cheng struggles with the responsibility of being Paris's superhero, getting accepted into colleges and getting over unrequited love. Chat Noir is struggling with his Ladybug, who was becoming more and more distant. When Marinette and Chat enter into a friends with benefits arrangement to attempt to move on, will they push away the feelings they form for one another, or will they embrace them? Just so you know, I wrote this after seeing the season where Marinette became The guardian, so any new characters in the season's that follow are not involved in my story. I also dropped the peacock miraculous, and the special transformations with the Kawamis. This is the first story I've ever posted on here, so I hope you enjoy it! Also, the characters in this work are all 18+ and I do not own the rights to these specific characters. After losing hope when ladybug rejects Chat Noir, Adrien quits being a super hero for good, and the events that unfold are disastrous consequences for both our lovely protagonists.. Chat Noir's one desire is to protect and assist his lady, even when it means putting his own life in jeopardy. Marinette's deepest fears come true when his ride or die sentiment leaves him cold at her feet. Ashamed and guilt-ridden, she turns her miraculous in to Master Fu and asks him to find someone else for the job, but something far more sinister is brewing, and with no LadyBug to come to the rescue, who will Paris, and more importantly, Chat Noir, turn to to save them in their time of need? Written over the course of only a few days, this is a short story that I don't plan on lengthening into a full length tale. I also don't plan on editing unless requested repeatedly.
