Gavin Hale is a scientist who lives alone and away from the city with his undead animal friends. His biggest dream is to see the magical land he lives just outside of, but no human is allowed inside.

One day, Gavin meets a lovely and sweet elf who completely captures his attention, and she happens to be from the very land he's always been curious about. As he begins to become friends with the elf, things in his life finally begin to look up, but conflicts arise from his friendship with the elf, conflicts that could eventually threaten his life and hers.
