Laws were tough for latin women where Mariana was from. Girls finished school when they were 11 years old. Boys continued on. From them girls went to classes on how to be the perfect wife and mother. After passing all those classes, your father was to choose who your husband would he. Then you would live happily ever after. Everyone except for Mariana.

Mariana Vasquez was a 14 year old delinquent from the minute she snuck across the border. She was from Honduras. A country east of Mexico. Her, her younger brother and older sister were dropped off in Texas to fend for themselves.

Mariana and Javier were very close so she decided to take care of him. Her sister Cecilia headed toward California. With Javier on her back and little money in her pocket, Mariana headed toward Miami. A place she knows she can make money in order to provide for her and Javier.

12 years later she's about to become your longest reigning NXT Women's Champion. With a horrible history, she can't be normal again. Miami is now a haunting ground for her. She can't love anyone anymore because of her almost "husband" in Honduras watching her every move threatening to air her dirty laundry.

Not being able to trust anyone except for her best friend Mercedes (Sasha Banks) she puts forth all her focus into wrestling.

That is until Mercedes moves up to the main roster meeting some new people. Sitting at a Monday Night Raw with Mercedes, she meets all of her new friends, including someone who strikes her interest, Dean Ambrose.
