Since the age of twelve, Nicole Heinrich has dreamed of working on a crab rig out on the treacherous Bering Sea. Growing up she often watched her father sail off on his very own rig. He and his crew were one of the largest vessels on the sea, they were known to be one of the best crews out there. All her life, her father promised her a job on his rig as his right hand man. Unfortunetly, Nicoles dreams soon sunk, as did her father. The crew hit an unexpected rut in the sea, killing both Nicole's father and crew, but his rig as well. She was only sixteen at the time, but even then she swore that she would get out to sea, and make her father proud. Two years later, Nicole's dreams still stood proud. The day of her graduation, she grabbed her diploma and ran to her rental car, getting a one way fight to Dutch Harbor, Alaska.
Despite her efforts, no crews would accept her request to join their crew simply because she was a woman. So to get by and to meet crews, Nicole got a job at the UniSea Inc. Processor.
There she met her two best friends. The first, Josh Harris, son of the late Phil Harris, Captain of the Cornelia Marie. The second, Mandy Harris, the daughter of Sig Hansen, Captain of the Northwestern.
Does Nicole ever get a job on a ship?
If so, which ship is it?
