a woman raised on an independent island forces herself to move from her home due to an unfortunate event. she finds herself depressed and a thousand miles away, in a desolate city where the weather is bland and the people ignore her. after pushing memories of her childhood away for years, she begins to recall her story and how she ended up living in such a hopeless environment; a direct opposite from her prior life on the island of Castacombe.
