Rose, a 14 year old girl, moves to a new city along with her family from a small town. Being a small town girl, moving to a city was quite an adventure , yet leaving her friends behind left her with a bittersweet feeling. She was excited about the new environment she was going to be in but, the first day of her school left her awestruck as she felt complete outcast after having seen the new faces in her school which made her realize that she lacked in many activities along with her academics. As a teenager, not only had she felt outcast , but also questioned her looks . And, after facing all the low self esteem problems ,she fell (first love) for the popular guy who was closest to perfect in all the activities she lacked in. How will she cope up in the new environment? Will she ever get the desired attention from him? Will her first love be successful, or just leave her with a heartbreak? Will she change herself to get his attention? What will she do? What impact will he bring in her life?

For the booksmart yet naïve 16-year-old Nicky, high school in her quaint little hometown island in the Philippines had always been predictable. Until that senior year. Nicky thought she got things all figured out. She'd be very good at school and be the valedictorian of the single-section class of 2010 of the highly looked-up science high school in their island. And then, she'd get a full scholarship to her dream university. All was fairly well except for a few things like grappling her feelings towards a long-time crush. Just when Nicky thought she could get through high school without too much boy-drama, a somewhat seemingly love life with a boy or two and suddenly, maybe even three was finally catching up with her during the last few months before high school graduation. She had never thought she could be wrong about a person. And that she could always be wrong about boys... ✨✨✨ Sidenote: I wrote this from November 2010 to April 2011, only a year ahead from the time set in the novel. I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace.
