A science fiction satire with similarities to Watchmen and other social commentaries with a superhero flavor. It's about Darrian Infield who acquires superpowers after being lost in space for 34 years, only to return home and find that half the world has become a totalitarian nightmare. She decides to become a crime-fighter, at first winning the affections of the Australian and US governments (the latter under its fifth consecutive Trump presidency) but as her exploits begin to target the real criminals - the same Australian and US governments - and expose to her their corruption the xenophobic, corporatist, and bigoted cruelty, she finds that not only the politicians, but the majority of people who vote for them quickly turn against her.
