Malice Clawfyre is a female born from an ancient race of Catfolk . She is on a secret mission, to steal a ring that belongs to the King. The ring is an heirloom of the king, and coincidently, it is a prophesied artifact that will help save her people, too.
King Arnold, the last of his family's bloodline, initiates a kingdom-wide celebration after the end of a mysterious epidemic, which plagued and killed half of the people of the Kingdom of Charming. His family has always been known to be fair and loving rulers, greatly adored by the people of Charming.
Izor the 'Mad' Mage, the king's trusted advisor of magic and his best friend since childhood, struggles with needing to involuntarily make difficult choices. His magical sensitivities, and sporadic behavior, leave many humans uncomfortable.
Will the trio be able to work together to give more freedoms to people, and magic users, from the tyrannical High King; or will they help keep the Mage Rebellion as a failed attempt for much-needed change?

The Grove
Adler ascended his father's throne after the old bastard was deposed. He inherited a divided kingdom that has been committing genocide against its own people for generations. When the entire kingdom shows up to the party in honor of the king's birthday, he's so overwhelmed that he tries to hide. Instead of refuge, he catches a thief in the act of stealing papers from him and his advisors. The thief is unapologetic, audacious, and most confusingly, flirtatious. She makes an odd promise to return to him shortly, then takes off into the night. The very next day, she appears in his rooms. He's baffled. "Want to help me stop a coup?", she asks with a playful smile. Adler falls for Ren almost immediately. He doesn't even try to deny it.
