When 6-year-old Marjo's family goes on a mysterious weekend trip, her carefully constructed routine becomes disrupted. Taking up lodging in an old, secluded house in the countryside. Marjo finds solace in the beauty of the landscape and befriends a mysterious neighbor-an old hermit who lives in the woods. But Marjo's parents seem distracted by ulterior motives, and she becomes isolated by her parents' preoccupation with the secrets the house has to tell. Marjo's fears come to a head as she finds her father becoming increasingly distraught as the weekend goes on. As tensions mount, Marjo must confront her own fears and find the source of her father's distress.
