In the great continent known as Ferangel, 3 kingdoms stand; The Kingdoms of Dortum, Angrael, and Gerant. Dortum is the bastion of humanity, Angrael is the realm of the beastmen, and Gerant is where both can live together in harmony.
An uneasy peace stands between the 3 kingdoms and their rulers, with Angrael and Dortum in particular, one that can be shattered any second. And with the development of a new potential weapon, one seemingly gifted by the heavens, this peace will soon indeed be shattered. The Valnir Armor Suit, a revolutionary piece of technology is now eyed to be a tool of war, besides being intended to be an industrial utility.
With greed, politics, and personal grudges making peace all the more fragile. A sudden attack on the Angrael capital, Gerth, made it clear that war is inevitable. Seeing the insignia of Dortum on the unit that killed the royal family, save their king, Angrael marches for war against Dortum.
Gerant, though remaining in neutrality, has no choice but to join the war when a fight between Angrael and Dortum razes a city in its borders. As years of apparent complacency has become apparent, it becomes clear that Gerant has little to no military forces and is thus conquered and cornered by both Angrael and Dortum, leaving only to tend to its heavily defended capital. Knowing the significance of the Gerant capital's capture, the forces of both Kingdoms race each other to take the Capital of Gerant, knowing that whoever captures it can secure a fortress that will be vital to their own war operations.
In a last ditch attempt, the son of Gerant's king, Prince Fargaux de'Acheval III is entrusted to pilot an ancient mobile weapon in an attempt to drive the enemy away from his kingdom. Little does he know that the unearthing of the Perseus heralded a series of events that will reveal the true purpose of the Valnir and the world itself.
