"I think I might love you", I say, then cover my mouth with my hand, not wanting to acknowledge the sentence that extricated itself from my mouth. I hope he didn't hear. I'd give anything for him to have not heard.
But he'd heard.
He raises an expectant eyebrow, and the smirk that forms on his face is enough for me to punch him right there and then. "Are you lying to me, angel?" He asks, eyebrow still raised as he tilts his head to the side. I shake my head, too dumbfounded to even speak.
He smirks even more, and then says, "Hmmm...Well, in that case...Skyla Moore...I think I might just love you too."
His smirk turns into a wide grin, and a slight hue of pink spreads across his tanned cheeks. I smile back at him. Before I can open my mouth to say a word, Levi moves closer to me. As his breath grows warmer on my face, the distance completely closes between us. He connects his lips to mine. Before I know it, I'm kissing him back. Our lips are sculpted purely for each other, and they fit perfectly together.
Sparks fly through my body, and at this moment, I know that this is where I belong. The only place I can be truly happy. Where I deserve to be.
