Being a teenager was frustrating...

Imagine being a rare snow leopard shifter and a teenager.

Moving to a quiet mountain town was supposed to be a fresh start for Nobu.

He's a reserved person, further shut away because of what he is and the attention it brings. It's his eighteenth birthday soon, which is a special time for shifters. After eighteen they can start to find a mate. Shifters don't have one destined mate, but a small selection of other shifters they are compatible with, and from that group, they can choose their mate.

Unwanted suitors line up at his door, a stubborn lion won't leave him alone at school, and he manages to catch the eyes of some poachers.

One good thing did come from the move though:

His mate...

Despite the struggles of being a teenager and the woes of being a rare shifter Nobu finally believes he can be happy.

But some of his most dedicated admirers are not willing to give up so easily...
