When Turf Wars champion Casey meets a popular figure through a inconspicuous sewage pipe, she is thrown into the greater world of the Octarians, sibling loss and the New Squidbeak Splatoon, becoming the 4th Inkling to ever join it. The story takes place long ago and is about a scientist that has no other dream but to create life. After many failures, he is forced to seek help from hooded figures that appear one night. He succeeds, but gets trapped in deal he can't escape from. A few months later, a shadow starts terrorizing the land of Inkopolis. It strikes at night, it's blade cutting down everyone that gets in it's way. One night, four travelers gather to stop the shadow, and go out to fight it. Agent 3, is a serious, and no-nonsense squid, who will stop at nothing to finish her mission. After "orders" from the small fry man (Our lovely hype man, Cap'n Cuttlefish), the agents are forced into one home. What will happen? Read to find out! Octo expansion spoilers!!! Agent being a clumsy octoling bumps into Agent 3 who is not in the mood for her energetic and happy attitude. Soon Agent 8 finds out of how much of a dork 3 is and give each other nicknames. Clumsy & dork and 4 also calls them this and with that Agent 4 knows that perfect way for them to fall for each other!!

Agent Three was an ordinary civilian. Until a conversation with the friendly, neighborhood, somewhat crazed old man takes him on a journey far below his comfort zone. Deep underground an octoling longs for something, anything, to happen. Until her entire world descends into chaos when a new agent takes a trip underground.
