"How long do you plan to pretend?" I asked backing her against the book shelf. Her eyes wouldn't hold mine as they shifted down. Silence telling me what she couldn't.
" You can pretend all you want, but you and I both know he isn't what you want." I whispered in her ear. Her body betrayed her as she leaned into me; as if I were a magnet and she the metal. It took everything in me to back away from the women I loved.
I had to leave or I would forget that she was about to betray me all for the sake of her blasted image. She was to scared and to ashamed to let the world know that she had fallen in love with a women. Despite our memories and despite our love she was going through with the wedding her parents had planned. I couldn't look at her knowing she was throwing us away for something fake.
