Running away isn't as hard as it seems. I didn't even realize I was leaving until I saw the highway. I had what I need: a phone, a bike, a sleeping bag, and a backpack full of crap to help me survive. What did I have to lose?

Lilac leaves her new life in New York, heading south, heading home. But what happens when her face is suddenly everywhere on 'Missing' signs for hundreds of thousands of miles? Can she escape the cops? And what about when she falls for the sweet, gorgeous checkout lady in the CVS? She just has to make it back home, make it back to Kentucky.

The Hunt by Qthehunt
34 parts Complete
Cecily's blade swung, hitting its mark as always. The man's arm fell to the cold grass of the prison with a familiar thud. He let out a blood curdling scream. A warning to the rest. Stay away, the Hunter is here. That's the name they'd given her, the Hunter. After she cut off the man who tried to rape hers masculinity, they stayed away. She'd made it clear anyone who tried to touch her would be hunted and slaughtered. Cecily kneeled down, pushing the man's face into the dirt so she could use his back as a seat while she trifled through his belongings. "You're hurting my ears," she told him, no remorse in her voice. "Quiet down before I really do kill you." The man but his lip, well aware that she wasn't lying. Sobs shook him, making for an uncomfortable seat. She, however, didn't particularly feel the beed to kill him. It happened, not often, but it did. "Oh, hush up," she hissed, taking out a bag of rations with her metal hand, "it doesn't hurt that bad." With her good, human hand, she dropped the plastic bag of food into her own bag. She pushed up, off the man back. As she was about to walk away, bag slung over her shoulder, brushing against her autumn colored braid, she turned back to him. "Consider yourself lucky," she said, no hatred in her voice, there never was. "Consider yourself lucky that you didn't do anything stupid. And even luckier if one of the scum bagged criminals in here feel a little light in their hearts and help you. Consider yourself luckier if you die there." With that, her old black and white Nike sneakers carried her off into the brush of the huge prison.

Broken hero

57 parts Complete Mature

"Rain begins to pour from the sky, mixing with the bright red liquid pooling at the figure's feet. Her long black hair sticks to her pale face, her black eyes blank as she stares at the body laying at her feet." Life has always been hard for the dark hero, and the final straw was when her girlfriend becomes abusive. After a fight with her twin ends in his death, she goes undercover as a villian to stop government documents from being stolen. It's also a nice distraction from her past. However, when she catches a young hero's attention will she be able to continue her mission or will it all go downhill? After years of abuse, this sparky hero flees her family before they can marry her off. Life becomes interesting when a dark villain catches her eye. Can she break through their walls or will fate tear them apart? ((Trigger warning for rape, domestic violence, and child loss. I wanted to make a hero that shows even the toughest of people struggle with issues like dv and rape, and it's ok to ask for help.))
