Hazel wanted to help her friends, King Be, and future queen, Mal, of Auradon to allow the children of the villains to come to Auradon for a chance at a better life. It was Ben's wish and Hazel had the same views, it brought them as close as siblings. The first to step foot in Auradon were the children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil. They welcomed them with open arms and a warm smile, assuring them that they were not their parents and that they deserved the same chances as everyone else. In time, they started to believe and began to see the good in themselves that Hazel and Ben saw in them. Then plans changed and Hazel found herself in situations she'd never think to be in.
