As you and your partner is squad-less, you are assigned to plantation 13's new test squad as for Dr. Franxx's orders. Any new place is full of discoveries, loss, achievement, and more. What story will you write at your new home? 

Since watching Darling in the Franxx, I always thought of a different ending with my own set of characters. So guess what? I wrote it here.

Although Doctor Franxx notices some strange readings coming off the squad's Franxx during some standard repairs. These strange events include the mech's faces appearing when not pilots are present in the cockpit and the act of moving on their own. Eventually these strange occurrences lead to a shocking discovery, the Franxx have come to life and have personalities that are combinations of both their pilot's personality's. If that wasn't enough the Franxx start referring to their pilots as they're parents. Someone help this poor group of teenagers.
