Guardians of Freecaster High #1 "That doesn't make any sense. You were the one who left me. You didn't care anymore." "If I didn't care, Alexis, then why is it I can't touch another girl unless I'm imagining you?" He pushes against me, trapping me against the wall, his minty beer breath skating across my lips. "J-Jace, you don't have t-to do this," I stammer, already losing the fight as my body melts against his. Jace's hand moves to trace his thumb across my bottom lip. "Why do I obsess about kissing you again? Why do memories of holding you still haunt me?" His face pinches in agony. "Why can't I do the right fucking thing and leave you alone?" _______________________________________________ Alexis 'Lexi' Young has four goals; pass her senior year of high school, buy her own wheels, get accepted to culinary school, and forget that her ex-boyfriend ever existed. Seems easy enough, right? Nope! Not when the school across town burns to the ground and all the students are sent to her school. Included in those new students is none other than Jace Hall, Lexi's ex, and his motorcycle riding, street fighting, off the wall friends. As for Jace, he'll forever regret breaking Lexi's heart, but it was either that or put her in the line of danger. Now that she's in arms reach, staying away is a lot harder to do. Especially when everything she does drives him crazy. But being part of the Guardians means trouble is never far behind, and getting close to Lexi again could put a target on her back. She wants to resist old temptations and protect her heart. He wants nothing more than to pull her close and keep her safe. But are you ever really safe when kissing your ex? ______________________________________________ Recommended age is 17+ for cursing, sexual content, and violence Best Ranking: #1 in HighSchool Romance 6/4/2022 #3 in teenlove 6/3/22 #1 in MatureThemes 1/11/21 #8 in Drama 12/31/20 Copyright © Chelsea Frey 2020 All rights reserved
Tangled lines. by Zylaazxx
5 parts Ongoing
(17+!!!) They're best friends - the kind who text about everything, swap hoodies without asking, and know each other's secrets better than anyone else. Brayden is funny, athletic, the guy everyone notices without even trying. Ethan is quieter, the one who listens, the one who remembers. To Brayden, they're just friends. To Ethan... it's more. The problem is, Brayden's straight. And Ethan's not. So Ethan laughs at his jokes, cheers from the bleachers, and pretends his chest doesn't ache every time Brayden leans a little too close. Loving him feels like holding onto something warm he can never keep, like standing just outside of where he wants to be. But even friendship isn't always easy. Joshua, Ethan's headstrong, playful, and teasing friend, has a long-standing history with Brayden-one filled with tension and subtle rivalry. Joshua can be fiercely protective of Ethan, flirtatious in a way that blurs lines, and stubborn to the point of stubbornly making Ethan's heart race. While he's teasing and daring on the outside, inside he feels a quiet, competitive desire to be Ethan's center of attention. Adding a new layer to Ethan's already complicated life is Kyle, a quiet, thoughtful, and small-framed boy with oversized sweaters and glasses. Though they've only talked a few times, Kyle has a gentle presence that grounds Ethan, offering small moments of comfort and understanding. He notices things, offers little gestures of kindness-like sharing candy after a rough morning-and quietly becomes a stabilizing figure in Ethan's whirlwind world. Caught between Brayden's warmth and firmness, Joshua's teasing insistence, and Kyle's quiet steadiness, Ethan navigates the chaos of high school friendships, unspoken crushes, and the delicate balancing act of who he's closest to-and who he wants to be. Between playful confrontations, intense moments, and fleeting sparks of connection, Ethan discovers that love, friendship, and loyalty are never as simple as they seem

I Hate Football Players

61 parts Complete Mature

Football players are assholes. I know - my brother is their king. Older and annoyingly overprotective, he's the star quarterback at Santa Cruz High School. I love him, but everyone worships the air he breathes and it's suffocating. After a traumatic experience with a quarterback three years ago, I want nothing to do with boys and dating. All that matters is getting into college, so I ace my classes and sign up for my school's student ambassador program to boost my applications. Thankfully, I have my best friend, Harper, to get me through high school being overshadowed by my brother. My plans for a quiet, low-key senior year are destroyed when my brother's cocky, arrogant rival keeps butting into my life. Logan Hightower is a total player who expects me to drool at his feet while he uses me to burn my brother's game. If he thinks I'll fall for his gorgeous looks and shallow charms, he's totally mistaken. He'll never succeed because I hate football players.
