The ancient people of Asia often mention the goddess Inari in their stories.
She was the protector of the starving, the healer of the afflicted, the executor of desires.
In some stories, she appears as the patroness of foxes.
Since ancient times, even in China it was believed that seeing a white fox, a Byakko, was a great fortune.
In Japan, Byakko always appears to be a people-friendly creature in stories.
