10 years after the attack of the Time Eater controlled by Eggman (Sonic Generations), Tails detected a strange energy years ago in his radars, within that poor frequency he found his similarities with the temporary creature and investigated it, however, when they go to look for answers They end up finding a mysterious creature.

Worse than Black Doom or anyone they fought before. Mephiles The Dark has return with new powers and sinister allies that could destroy what Sonic, and everyone been fighting for. Before they could start their search on Chaos Emeralds and fight Mephiles again, the Master Emerald glows up and spoke to them. He told them to find someone who would help them to defeat Mephiles and everything will be restored. Before they could ask, the Master Emerald glows up and teleporting the entire world of Sonic to another world. A mysterious yet magical world where mirrored their world but differently. That's where they meet new allies with special abilities and other creatures as the search for the Chaos Emeralds again who was got spread away.
