Many people don't know me, but I don't know who me is either. I can't tell you if I'm the loud or rude stereotypical black girl because Mom would say I need to speak up. I'm using my library voice with strangers. I can't tell you I'm the introvert because I like good company. I was born into a world that judges me before they get to know me. And try to attack the concept of happiness. I need it most in this filthy world we live in. I need you. Because you listened and didn't say a word. Just you being there was enough to make me believe you understood the troubles in my sentences and words spoken in a foreign language. I want myself back but I can't remember who I was. || Ebonee desires life to the fullest content as a brown skin but is constantly faced with life's realities that can never turn into her sudden dreams. As she is constantly faced with comparisons of her beauty, cruel judgment, and love she didn't expect it to turn out so unplanned in her premeditated life. || || Then there's Beau, who lives such a different world outside of the way Ebonee sees it as he tries to determine who is his out to kill him. My Quiet Guy
"Dance with me!" I speak as I drag him off the couch by his arms. His sleepy figure follows along with me as I move to the side of my living room. "No let me sleep!" He cries out as he tries to fall back down on the couch. I pinch his arm and drag him back up. "Nope you're going to dance and your going to like it. Come on." I gesture him to follow me. I go to turn the volume up before going back to him. "Fine but you gotta give me kisses first." He answered with a smile on his pink lips. I roll my eyes but nevertheless lean up and peck his lips. "Nuh uh, more." He grabs my throat and pushes our lips back together. I smile through the kiss as we break apart and dance. I'm loving this. ☤☤ Gabrielle Morgan. Lorenzo Colombo. Quiet boy and once Outgoing girl. Lorenzo, the quiet guy believes no one will love him for him. He believes people only want him for his looks, money, and toned body. The Book cardinally aims to end the negative perception and energies associated with the color black and the under-privileged sections of the society. Many a different times the utmost exhilaration spawns from a persons disability as his/her desire to achieve the impossible is several times heightened than the normal counterpart. The magical essence of Black has been epitomized to the hilt in every poetic stanza that follows-to lead to a trail of unassailable victory. This collection of poems is endlessly dedicated to the power of the color Black. Black which in common parlance is perceived to be negative and a disability to continue the chapters of life. But this very Black which has been described as the most powerful color for survival on earth. The most magical fragrance of every entities soul which continues to infatuate even beyond the dormitories of heaven and hell. I nikhil parekh am truly grateful to every bit of Blackness enshrouding me, which has made me a magician to express the innermost realms of my soul into poetic verse on blank paper.
