Stargaze

Astrophysicist Cassidy Manilow meets a dying girl named Goose who has a dream of showing her city a perfect starry night.

Cassidy Manilow is a small-city kid with a PhD in Astrophysics and a possibility of going to the first manned mission to Mars, whenever they get that going. But her space travelling plans are trumped when she runs-LITERALLY runs- into a girl in a derelict Kroger's with a dying wish and a Misfits T-shirt (and she'd do anything for a fan of a decent rock band).

Goose is dying. She has known that ever since she learned what dying was. She was almost numb to the fact when her doctors said that because of the surprisingly rapid progression of her extremely rare condition, she likely has about a month left to live before it will strangle her to death. But she is not going to let those few days go to waste. She has a dream of showing people the infinite beauty amidst the hecticness and imperfection of life. She wants her city to see the stars, the REAL stars, and she knows just who can make it happen.

Stargaze is a story about life, death, love, science, space, and appreciating all the little things.
