It was a phenomenon that nobody could explain, not even the Vatican themselves. At three am, a November eighteenth, ten children where born. Children that housed something more sinister then the world could ever explain. No hunter dared to lay hands on these ten siblings, nor did they attempt to. They had a connection with the devil himself, beings that would do his bidding. But these ten children didn't all come together in one place. No, the Vatican had gotten their hands on one child. A girl with bright red hair and a pair of stunning golden eyes. A child they easily manipulated into a weapon against her nine siblings.
Alexandra didn't know why she was never burnt by flames, why the heat never bothered her or why the cold never gave her goosebumps. She knew she was inhuman, but she didn't know what to call herself. All she knew was she was a warrior, a hunter that did the Vatican's bidding since she was five. Alex had done her share of killing, and hunting. Something she was drilled into her every day. She was content hunting down demons and trying her best to kill the devil himself. But things seem to not go her way when she runs into one of the devil's children. Alex really didn't expect her life to get any more complicated.
Nor did she expect that her bloodline was tied in with these children. Children she could call her brothers and sisters.
Alexandra does her best to keep up with the Vatican's work and to keep her interest in these other siblings out of her mind. But when demons from left and right also start to recognize her. Complications wasn't the word for it anymore.

Unfortunately, as fate would have it, it appeared Kane was still alive, as he was the man seen with them at the carnival, meaning Alex hadn't succeeded in killing his brother after all, or he did succeed, and Kane found a way to escape his demise. Alice couldn't shake the feeling that there was so much more to this than she knew. Another missing piece of the never-ending puzzle, leaving nothing but many unanswered questions that Alice was determined to unravel. Alice soon realized that this wasn't the end, only the beginning of something far greater, beyond anything they would've imagined. He suddenly calms down when the screams in the cell next to us switch to the sound of bones breaking. Now he sits with foam on his lips and his eyes wide, looking that way. After ten minutes, the sounds of the boys in our cell have died down, and we all look at the wall that separates us from the crackling of the breaking bones. And then suddenly all is quiet. After a few silent minutes, our cell door opens slowly. From the ball of light from the ceiling, the little girl in the doorway is illuminated. She is completely covered in blood and doesn't move. Then she opens her eyes and carefully walks towards us. And despite everything, my first impulse is to crawl backwards, away from the unnatural calm radiating from her. ------------- After reading yet another great older brothers/younger sister story, where the family gets reunited after years of separation, the sister keeps the secret that she was abused and assaulted all along, and the brothers conceal their work in the mafia, I decided to give it also a try. The output of my story was initially to turn this around with openness and unconditional support and the torture should happen right in front of their very eyes. Because no story is complete without the (un)necessary bloodshed, action, humour and, of course, a bad guy. And who knows, to throw everything completely upside down, the main character may not survive. I won't write warnings above each chapter, because most of them contain violence, blood, torture, etc. Constructive criticism is welcome. Ow, and English is not my first, second or third language. The special children, either born from Lucifer and Kira's bloodlines or those with ancestors who passed down pieces of Lucifer's shattered soul, had grown up, and after turning 18, they'd stopped aging physically. Just like their parents, they also continued to face obstacles of their own over the years, as with every passing year, their powers grew stronger as they trained how to use them. Though they were not the only ones. Lucifer was getting closer; they were getting closer. Kira could feel it, and so could Alice and Tara. It's almost like that strange feeling where a person feels as if someone is standing behind them, but when they turn around, no one is there. The intensity of those feelings crept closer and stronger with each passing year.
