Madeline Adelard has quite a happy life now that she has awoken from her deep slumber. She never wanted for anything more than to live a life like this until she dies. She knew there was something wrong with her, and the only way to find out what it was is to dredge into her past, something she had purposefully avoided. She doesn't want to know, and that's fine with her.
