"Theft of Nizam's Gold" is an intriguing tale of bygone era, of loyalty to and hidden treasures of Nizam-ul-Mulk, Nizam VII, the monarch of the largest princely state, Hyderabad during British India. It is a story that abounds in mysteries, sheds light on certain events which took place after annexation of Hyderabad state into Indian Union, events which subtly contradict some established facts.

The narrator, who belongs to a family that has been serving the Nizams of Hyderabad State for almost a century, unfolds the story of how he gets himself through feelings of unrequited love, loss and despair, his love affair with Affet and Clara and how he eventually gets himself embroiled in the web of deceit and Nizam's Gold - gold that was stolen. But, nothing could he do to salve his conscience.
