Legends are legends, handed down through oral tradition. Some legends are true, some not so much. Putting the legend of the frozen mermaid to the test, Gaielle, a siren from Berth, ventures ashore to investigate the earthen realm despite the protest of her brother and dying father. Though tragedy separates kingdoms and Aethelfrith must come to terms with the death of his nephew at his own hands, he ascends a throne that is not his to serve the Warrick people.
