finding you (ongoing)

In a world where there are soulmates, on your 15th birthday, a red string appears on the pinkie of your dominant hand that leads you towards your soulmate. You can communicate with your soulmate by writing/drawing on your opposite forearm. You cannot write your name, address, or school name.
People think it's easy to find your soulmate because your soulmate is born in the same city as you and because most people never move very far from home. People usually find their soulmates by the age of 20.
But that's not the deal for Keith, he's adopted. So he doesn't know where he was born. Since he has no idea which country to even look in, he has just given up on the idea of soulmates.
But his soulmate hasn't, and they've made it clear that they want to meet him. On Keith's 16th birthday he decided it would be best if his soulmate never knew who he was, so he couldn't hurt them.
But one night, when his soulmate writes good night before he goes to bed. Keith would reply, 'Good night Blue'. Thinking his soulmate didn't see, he fell asleep shortly after that. Little did he know, his soulmate had seen.
And finally, after years of thinking he didn't have a soulmate, he had hope that one day he'd find them. He stared at his soulmate's red writing in awe as his eyes got heavy and he too drifted off to sleep.
