This Avatar story is my idea of what came after Korra - after Aang the last Airbender came Korra, the last avatar - or so everyone thought. After peace reigned for years past Korra's death everyone assumed that the cycle of Avatars was over because the light spirit Raava had been ripped out of Korra by the dark spirit Vaatu, but then something happened... The fire nation attacked again as an old fiend rose from the ashes and was reborn - Azula is back and out for vengeance - when she takes the world back into the past age from Aang's time someone most rise to the occasion to stop her.

We all know and love the story of Avatar the last Airbender, but what if things were a little different? What if Prince Zuko was the Avatar? This simple question throws the entire Avatar world for a spin. Let's start with a summary shall we? With the disappearance of the avatar after the death of Avatar Roku, the world watched in horror as 3 more fell after him. The airbenders were all wiped out and so went the air nomad avatar. The southern water tribe had all of its benders taken and killed, along with the avatar of water. The earth kingdom has been sacked for decades by an onslaught of firebenders. Avatar: Princess of the West and The Dragon of the South
The Hundred-Year War has left the world in disarray. The Fire Nation has started a war with no end in sight, and won't stop until it dominates every single man, woman, and child in the four nations. The only force that could end the war was the avatar, who was seen as a ray of hope to the world. Unfortunately, he disappeared, leaving many people around the world to believe that the cycle was broken and that the hope they felt began to eventually Fade. However, an incident occurred on 83 Ag that shook both the mortal and spirit worlds combined. Due to the chaos caused by the fire nation and the absence of the avatar, Two powerful spirits that were once sealed in the spirit world by, Wan, the first avatar have managed to escape the spirit world and reincarnated into human vessels. The Dragon spirit Ryo and his lover Kitsune the Fox goddess. Kaito the reincarnation of Ryo, the dragon spirit, was born in the Southern Water tribe as the oldest child of Hakoda and Kya. When he was eleven, the Fire Nation raided the Southern Water Tribe, which resulted in his mother's death and his capture, which left his family in agony after losing their mother and older brother. However, three years later, Kaito who was Fourteen unexpectedly returned to the Southern Water Tribe, which left everyone stunned for a bit before welcoming him back. When his family asked what happened to him, he would always avoid answering the questions or just ignore them altogether. He took part in the war with his father and for the past two years had developed not just his water-bending abilities, but also his combat capabilities to the fullest. Before returning home on the order of his father, and traveling to parts of the world, learning different skills. He gained a terrifying reputation under the fire nation that was known to the entire world. The Dragon of the South. This story takes place after the war has settled. Aang and Katara finally together, Zuko the firelord, Sokka being,...well Sokka, Toph happy and never to return home, and the nations were finally at peace. When team Avatar decides to return to the southern water tribe to visit Sokka and Katara's family, they end up bringing Zuko along, giving him a well deserved break of running the fire nation. However, feelings start to make themselves known. Feelings that Aang doesn't like, little does he know he ends up pushing Katara into the arms of the edgy firebender, which was the last thing he was trying to do. Will this new romantic relationship tear team Avatar apart? Will it make them stronger? Will Katara's new found heated relationship be accepted by her tribe? Can the group move past it, and continue on? Will Aang ever get over Katara and find someone new? Knowing it's never easy ridding the feeling of that first love. And one of the most importance will Zuko find his mother? On a different note Azula, the sister of the new firelord, has been in prison for quite some time, there is obviously no way of her being released on good behavior. She plans to escape and find Tai Lee and Mai and "ask" them once again to join her side and take her revenge on her brother Zuko, Katara, their friends, and the Avatar. And plans to overthrow and take over the fire nation, feeling that her father apparently wasn't strong enough to hold his place.Complete
