"ѕo wнαт'ѕ ιт lιĸe вeιɴɢ α ɢeɴιυѕ?"
"ғαcтѕ αɴd ɴυмвerѕ мoѕтly. yoυ ĸɴow тoo, ѕнer. yoυ're jυѕт ιɴcredιвle."

Sheridan Hotchner started out as really being nothing. To herself, mostly. She always had someone to admire though, someone who stuck it out with her every step of the way. Someone who looked at her and believed in her unconditionally, even if it meant one or both would get hurt. Her older brother; her oldest brother, to be correct. Aaron Hotchner.

Supervisory Special Agent of the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit and former prosecutor, Sher had always wanted to be like him. She had always wanted to be a Profiler, or in the very least work for the FBI. And one day she has that opportunity. Assigned to Quantico's BAU under her brother and his team, Sher starts there after transferring from her chosen division of the Linguistics Department.

But maybe she's bit off more than she can chew when a familiar face to her older brother shows back up years later. Maybe it's too much when she finds her friends to be her family, and everything starts to spiral when she finds love. Maybe stone road she's been walking on is finally crumbling underneath her.

["Perhaps the cruelest twist of fate yet was that even the family you'd finally made for yourself was still one that you could not keep."] *** Five years and five months. It has been just over five years and five months since the reader and Spencer last saw each other, and now, at last reunited with a daughter just as bright as her parents, both of them are ready to finally start their lives together as a family... But when has the reader's life ever been so simple, and when has fate ever been so forgiving? Neither the reader nor Spencer is the same person they were all those years ago, and after struggling to pick up where they left off, they must determine whether love alone is reason enough to be together. Meanwhile, as the influence of past corruption still runs rampant in the bureau, the reader slowly learns that she might not be as safe as she initially believed. Because this time, she has more than just herself to worry about. Because this time, she has absolutely everything to lose. Because this time, Samuel will stop at nothing to exact his revenge, and he knows exactly what to take in order to finally destroy her.
